I am an environmental sociologist working to replace single-lever approaches with systems thinking — through research that surfaces what's hidden, teaching that plants the frame early, infrastructure that proves a better model, and writing that reframes the story — so marginalized communities stop absorbing the cost of problems they didn't create. 

I have followed many threads throughout my career — urban space and resource access for street dogs and slum residents in India and Turkey, water inequity in the United States, behavior change frameworks that facilitate the adoption of sustainable and diversified agriculture in the Midwest — but the guiding theme across these projects has been my use of research to tell grounded stories of community resilience and adaptation. My niche is equity-informed, applied storytelling using interviews, focus groups, literature reviews, and surveys to co-create solutions defined by and for the people they are meant to serve, ensuring they take root and last.
